Zoning Resolution Rewrite

Posted on: February 1, 2021

[ARCHIVED] Come Join the Discussion!

Natrona County is excited to announce the kickoff of the 2020 Natrona Next Zoning Resolution Rewrite (Natrona Next)! The Zoning Resolution supplements the County’s Subdivision Resolution as the primary regulatory document that the County uses to ensure quality development. The Zoning Resolution includes regulations and design standards that address zoning, land uses, building setbacks, building height, parking, landscaping, and application procedures.

The primary objective of phase one of the project is to assess the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of the existing Zoning Resolution through community engagement and stakeholder feedback. The County and consultant team, Logan Simpson, request your participation in a public open house on February 17th at the Natrona County Agricultural Resource Center from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. This will be a fun event to introduce the project to the community and gather feedback on what’s working with current zoning regulations and what could use some work. All information presented will be available on the project website following the meeting along with an introductory, instructional video on how to participate.

Additionally, the County will be holding small group stakeholder meetings via Microsoft Teams February 8th - 10th and in person meeting will be held February 17th at the Natrona County Agricultural Resource Center at the following times:

  • DIGITAL Monday, February 8, from 8:00am - 12:30pm and 2:00pm - 6:30pm
  • DIGITAL Tuesday, February 9,from 8:00am - 11:00am
  • DIGITAL Wednesday, February 10 from 3:00pm - 6:00 pm
  • IN PERSON Wednesday, February 17 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm (three separate 45 minute time slots)

Please reach out to steppingforward@natronacounty-wy.gov to sign up for a stakeholder meeting or for more information on the project.  We look forward to hearing from you!
