Kortes Road Construction Updates

Natrona County Road & Bridge Department in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration will be reconstructing Kortes Road. There will be closures on Kortes Road during construction.  The Contractor will start mobilizing equipment on April 18, 2022 and work will continue through October 31, 2022.  There will be a number of phased closures.  Any closures will be advertised 7 days in advance and the appropriate detour noted with appropriate signage.

Starting on September 18, 2022 at 7:00 AM Kortes Road will be CLOSED south of Alcova Dam all the way to the intersection of Fremont Canyon Road until October 8, 2022 in order to allow for final paving to take place.

Black Beach and Cottonwood Beach will be CLOSED from September 18, 2022 through October 8, 2022 stating at 7:00 AM on the 18th.   

Access to Miracle Mile or the Pedro Mountains will be via the established detour starting off of highway 220 south and continuing on Pathfinder Road to Fremont Canyon to the intersection of Kortes Road.
