Response Area & Considerations

The Natrona County Fire District (NCFD) came into existence through a special election in the fall of 1992 and was formed January 1993. 

The Natrona County Fire District provides emergency services for a response area that is unique and includes:

  • 5,376 square miles (5,340 square miles is land and 35 square miles is water)
  • General Industry and Businesses
  • Oil and Gas Refineries and Production Sites
  • Pipelines, Rail Systems and Storage Facilities
  • Chemical Production and Experimentation Sites
  • Residential Subdivisions and Rural Ranches
  • Significant Wildland Urban Interface Areas
  • Natrona County International Airport
  • Two Hydroelectric Dams
