The Natrona County Natural Resource Plan is Available for Review

The Natrona County Development Department has completed the initial review of the Natrona County Natural Resource Plan and has it available for public review.

Natrona County Development Department has hired a consultant to update its 2016 Development Plan with a Natural Resource Plan (revision of Chapter 7).

The most recent Development Plan for Natrona County was adopted in 2016 and is intended to be a living document with review every five years and updated every twenty (20), or as need to reflect changing conditions and values.

The consultant has reviewed and provided a report of the existing Development Plan adopted in 2016, Chapter 7 specific, and the primary changes that are necessary.

The objective of this process is to update the Development Plan by re-evaluating the existing Federal and State Land Use Policy (Chapter 7) and providing updates as needed to comply with W.S. 9-4-218, as amended by House Bill 54.

The purpose of the update is to provide a reliable planning resource to guide the Citizens, Development Department, and Governing Body in the future decisions on land use, development and infrastructure investment.
