Wyoming Public Lands Initiative

The Wyoming County Commissioners Association (WCCA) has established principles and guidelines for the Wyoming Public Lands Initiative (WPLI) which can be found at the WPLI Hub here.

The Sweetwater Rocks Complex, consisting of 4 contiguous Wilderness Study Areas (WSAs), lying in both Natrona and/or Fremont Counties and entirely within the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Lander field office jurisdiction will be addressed as a single unit.  For its part in this process Natrona County will be participating through the Fremont County established committee.

To access current progress an meeting minutes just click on the Fremont County, Participating Advisory Committee information at the bottom of the above mentioned WPLI Hub.

A site visit to the Sweetwater Rocks complex is planned for sometime in June with public meetings to be held in Casper and Lander at yet to be determined times and dates.  As those times and dates become firm, they will be posted here.
