Sheriff's Cadets / Explorers

Dedicated to Preparing Youth for Law Enforcement Careers


The Natrona County Sheriff Explorer Program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to help guide young men and women ages 14 to 21 prepare for an exciting career in law enforcement.

The Natrona County Sheriff Explorer Post #1 has been around since the early 1980's and is the only Explorer Post in the State of Wyoming. Every Explorer will deal with all aspects of the Sheriff's Office including:
  • Patrol ride-along
  • Detention issues
  • Criminal investigation
  • Crime prevention and much more
The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office sponsors the Explorers and we are affiliated with Learning for Life through the Boy Scouts of America. Explorers will have the opportunity to work in the community during various events and need to be ready at any time to provide help within the County when called upon.
